Nominations Open for 2026 Tennis New Zealand Honours

Tennis New Zealand is inviting nominations for the 2026 Tennis NZ Honours, recognising individuals who have made outstanding contributions to tennis in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Tennis NZ Honours programme celebrates those who have demonstrated exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to the sport. We encourage clubs, associations, and members of the tennis community to consider worthy candidates within their own communities and submit a nomination.

Honours Categories

Te Tohu Hāpai Award
To support, carry, lift or elevate

The Te Tohu Hāpai Award recognises individuals who have demonstrated a lifetime of service and dedication to tennis. Nominations for this honour must be submitted using the Te Tohu Hāpai Nomination Form.

Te Tohu Taumata Award
The summit, outstanding, remarkable

The Te Tohu Taumata Award recognises outstanding leadership and contribution to the sport. This honour is awarded as Life Membership under the Tennis New Zealand Constitution. Nominations must be submitted using the Te Tohu Taumata / Life Membership Nomination Form.

The Tennis NZ Honours Committee has established nomination criteria and prepared the relevant nomination forms to support the process.

Nominate Someone in Your Community

Nominations close at 5.00pm on 31 July 2026.

Successful recipients will be announced at the Tennis New Zealand Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Please note that late nominations will not be accepted.
