Erin Routliffe and her Indonesian partner Aldila Sutjiadi finished runners up in the Doubles final at the WTA Tournament in Charleston on Sunday. They were beaten by Chinese Taipei’s Liang En-shuo and Canada’s Rebecca Marino 5-7, 7-5, 10-7 with the match taking 1 hour 57. Routliffe and Sutjiadi will make their debut at WTA 500 level this week in San Jose. They have received a tough draw against Americans's Coco Vandeweghe and Caty McNally.

Meanwhile out Olympic Bronze medallists Michael Venus and Marcus Daniell have left Tokyo and have headed to Washington DC to resume their ATP Tour seasons. Venus is playing with Britain’s Neal Skupski this week while his new partner Germany’s Tim Puetz has another week off. Venus and Skupski are seeded second and play Frenchman Fabrice Martin and Australian Max Purcell in the first round.

Marcus Daniell has teamed up with Brazilian Marcelo Melo for the US hard court swing. They face Marcelo Arevalo and Matwe Middelkoop in the first round in Washington.
