Routliffe and Rosolska lose a tight Miami quarter final

Wednesday, 30 March 2022

Erin Routliffe and her Polish partner Alicia Rosolska have put up a great fight against the top seeds but have lost their quarter-final at the Miami Open.

They've been beaten by the top seeded pair of Veronika Kudermetova and Belgian Elise Mertens but they certainly weren’t disgraced, losing 6-3,3-6,11-9 in an hour and 46 minutes.

Routliffe is projected to reach a career-high ranking of 33 next week. She heads to Charleston in South Carolina for her last tournament in the US next week before heading to Antalya in Turkey to link up with the New Zealand Billie Jean King Cup team for the Asia Oceania Group 1 tournament.
