World Junior Tennis Teams Named

The New Zealand 14u teams for the Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying World Junior Tennis are confirmed. 

Both qualifying events are being held in Kuching, Malaysia where the teams compete for an entry into the World Finals. 

The NZ Girls 14u Team consists of Rosalie Pollyn (Auckland), Emme Gale (Canterbury), Aliyah Daly (Canterbury), Non-travelling Reserve: Lucy Zhou (Auckland). Tennis NZ National Performance Coach Chris Bint is the Captain.

Their campaign starts on the 2 April with seventh seeds New Zealand being drawn into Group A along with top seeds China PR, Indonesia and Nepal. The top two teams in each group advance into a knock out draw with the top 4 teams qualifying for the Finals. 

The NZ 14u Boys team consists of Neve Upston (Northern), Jacques Rupe (Auckland), Jake Karatha (based in Brisbane), Non-travelling Reserve: Vic Li (Auckland). Seb Lavie is the travelling coach for the boys team.

The team depart on 3rd April with three days training before they start their campaign. The boys draw to be released early next week (9 April).
