Paige Hourigan is into the final of the doubles draw at the ITF’s W50 tournament in Lopota, Georgia.

Hourigan has teamed up with India’s Rutuja Bhosale for the event and the No 3 seeds defeated Lina Gjorcheska from North Macedonia and Georgia’s Ekaterine Gorgodze 7-6(6) 6-3 in the semifinals.

In the final, Hourigan and Bhosale will play against India’s Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamdipaty and Alexandra Shubladze from Russia.

The 28-year-old Hourigan is aiming to pick up her first title of 2025, having claimed four last year, two of which were with Bhosale.

Hourigan has been back on the circuit for the past month, playing tournaments in Turkey, Spain and Portugal over the previous three weeks, but has shown in Georgia that she’s getting back to her best form.

Hourigan and Bhosale have entered to also play in next week’s W50 tournament in Lopota.

Meanwhile, Lulu Sun and Leylah Fernandez lost in the final of the Catalonia Open, the WTA 125 tournament in Vic, Spain. They were defeated 6-2 6-4 by Bianca Andreescu and Aldila Sunjiadi.

At the ATP Challenger in Ostrava, Czechia, Finn Reynolds and James Watt lost 7-5 6-3 to Stefan Latinovic and Jan Jermar in the final.
