It's onto New York and the US Open for Marcus Daniell

Marcus Daniell and his Brazilian partner Marcelo Demoliner have been beaten in the quarter finals of the doubles at the ATP Tour’s Winston-Salem Open.

They have lost in straight sets 7-6 (8) 6-2 to Croatia’s Ivan Dodig and American Austin Krajicek with the match lasting 1 hour 33.

 Daniell and Demoliner will now head to New York for the US Open starting at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday NZT. Michael Venus is the other Kiwi in the field with his German partner Tim Puetz. The draws are out in the next couple of days.
